Plant Whisperers

All things are made of shifting energy particles, even our thoughts and emotions. The coffee cup on your desk looks and feels solid, but it is not solid. You and I are not solid. Everything in the universe is made of energy and everything is moving.

There are people so sensitive to the energy of other living beings that they can place their hands on a plant and detect not only the nuances of the plant’s energy field, but also the various natural chemicals inside the plant that make up its living system.  Images of the inner physical structure of the plant may appear in their mind. These people are able to sense the plant’s physical and emotional state and communicate with it.

I call this group of people “Plant Whisperers” and claim proud membership in the group.

Many successful gardeners are Plant Whisperers and are not even aware of it. They are so in tune with the vibratory energy of their plants they can sense when something is wrong or about to go wrong in their garden much the same way plants communicate with each other. The successful gardener becomes a member of the plants’ community.

Science has proved plants live in communities. When danger threatens, a caterpillar infestation for example, a warning speeds through the plant’s network of roots or underground runners to the other plants to beef up their chemical and energy production to discourage the pests.

Science has also proven that after an insect chews on a plant leaf, the plant raises the level of chemical in the leaf to try to ruin its taste. When given the choice more often than not the insect will move on to a new leaf.

How does a Plant Whisperer receive communication from a plant, though?

I can only speak for myself. When communicating with a plant I first sense its aura energy, the energy that flows through everything in the universe, as I do with a person or animal.

By meditating on the plant’s energy, I gradually move deeper into its energy until I begin to sense the plant’s awareness.

Plant awareness is especially strong with trees. Tree awareness is more individual than awareness found in other plant species. A tree belongs to a community of plants, but it is also stands apart as its own self.

Once I have contacted the plant’s awareness, I silently and with respect introduce myself and offer Reiki energy to the plant. A plant will reply with the faintest voice imaginable heard in the back of my mind and carried on a specific feeling, warmth, curiosity, gratefulness, or, in the case of a certain scarred oak tree, suspicion (It has endured years of people carving their initials into its trunk.)

I often receive mental images of the inner workings of the plant at this point. In my mind’s eye, I follow the Reiki energy down into the roots and through the layers of veins in the stem or trunk to the many leaves. In most cases the journey is swift, but it can take time in water-retaining plants like cacti.

After the Reiki session, which can last quite a while because plants love to wallow in Reiki energy, I silently wish the plant a polite goodbye and promise to visit later. I then feel the energy cords fall away from between us instead of having to cut them myself.

A truly remarkable communication I experienced happened with a potted Heliotrope I saved from the garbage bin at a local garden nursery.

When I found the Heliotrope, it was a pitiable sight with its single stem and few leaves. I took it home, transplanted it into a larger pot, watered it well, and then soaked it with Reiki energy. After that, I set its pot on a windowsill and turned my attention to my laptop.

As I typed, I gradually became aware of a sense of gratefulness and love. I was alone in the room except for my dove, and she was asleep. Perhaps my late mother was visiting again. Why would my mother’s spirit feel grateful toward me, though? I did not sense her or any other spirit in the room so I shook my head and returned to writing.

The sense of gratefulness and love became overwhelming. It surrounded me. Baffled, I glanced around. My gaze fell onto the Heliotrope. Could it be the nearly comatose plant I saved was finally aware?

I placed my right hand gently on the plant’s stem. A smile bloomed on my face as a soft warm sensation of love flowed into me.  The Heliotrope was happy and grateful to me for saving it. I told it I expected flowers in a relationship. The plant delivered a few weeks later when it produced fragrant blue blooms.

Can anyone become a fully aware Plant  Whisperer? I believe so, but how long it takes each person to achieve communication with our green brethren would depend on how open-minded and grounded each person is.  A person’s success would also depend on their willingness to meditate, find their inner Still Point, and on a great deal of patience. It could take years for person A to achieve communication with a plant while person B may only need a few days or weeks. Possessing a strong sense of intuition is an invaluable stepping- stone toward clear communication with plants.

Each person would also need to reevaluate how he or she thinks of the plant world. You cannot hide your true emotions or intent from a plant. A plant will sense the truth in your energy field. If you do not respect plants as living beings, then plants will not communicate with you. They will instead go into defensive mode, like the poor scarred oak tree.

Some people talk with the animals while others talk with the wise plant kingdom. We have so much to learn from the plant world! All you have to do is listen.

By the way, roses really are all about love.

Earth’s Natural EMF Barriers

Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) are waves of energy that emit frequencies of 300 hertz (cycles) or less per second. Power lines, cell phones, computers, microwaves—all of our technological toys emit EMF. EMF in today’s world is impossible to avoid.

Have you ever walked into an office area filled with computers and noticed the heavy atmosphere? It seems to press down on you from all sides. What you felt were the strong EMF emissions from the computer equipment and electrical wiring.

We absorb EMF energy into our physical bodies, as well as into the aura field of energy that surrounds each of us. Too much absorption of EMF causes physical illness, for example depression, headaches, loss of concentration and focus, and more serious illnesses such as cardiac and digestive problems, to name only a few of many.

How can we protect ourselves against too much EMF absorption? The obvious answer is to turn off the toys and unplug them after use. Not only will doing so lessen the EMF, but you will also save money on electricity.

Another method of protection is to use Earth’s natural crystals. Certain crystals and minerals block and absorb EMF emissions. You can wear these crystals as jewelry or keep them near your electronic devices to work as EMF shields.

Jasper and Aventurine (any color of each) is a wonderful combination for clearing EMF emissions. As I write this, I am wearing a Jasper and green Aventurine bead necklace to help ward off the EMF from my laptop. Jasper absorbs and grounds the negative energy while Aventurine helps to neutralize EMF.

Place the stones on your computer table or wear them around your neck, or as earrings. You might try using Aventurine to protect you from cell phone EMF.

Fluorite is another popular crystal to use to help neutralize EMF from computers. This beautiful mineral comes in shades of purple, blue, clear, green, and a combination of these colors. Purple fluorite seems to work best as an EMF barrier when you are using or around computers a lot.
Smoky Quartz cannot be beat as an EMF shield. Its soothing energy also benefits you by keeping your mind and energy grounded.

Clear quartz crystal is the king of the crystal world. You can use it in countless ways, one being protecting you from EMF emissions. Place a good-sized piece of clear quartz beside your microwave, beside your computer, beside any of your electronic devices, to absorb the EMF emissions.

You cannot leave your crystals and then forget them. They will eventually need cleaned of the EMF emissions they have absorbed. This is a simple process you should perform every two weeks, or at least once a month, to keep your crystals absorbing EMF.

Gather up your crystals and rinse them well in cold water. Afterward, leave the crystals on a sunny windowsill or outside in a sunny area for a few hours. Sunlight “burns” away the negative energy absorbed by the crystals. After soaking in sunlight return your crystals to their posts, whether it is a computer table or kitchen counter. They will begin absorbing fresh EMF emissions.

Sometimes the easiest solutions are literally right at your feet, or in your nearest gem and mineral shop!

Below is a list of symptoms that can occur because of high EMFs. Just so you know. Try not to get scared.

Seeing Through Blind Eyes

The following experience happened years ago. The experience made me face my intuitive, or “psychic”, abilities head on for the first time.  It also shows how subtle these abilities can be. It is easy not to notice these subtle signs. I have written the experience in the form of creative non-fiction for the sake of entertainment.

Twilight deepened the sky over the valley to violet as I walked down a favorite trail toward home. The scent of earth, grass, and seawater filled the cooling air. I stepped carefully along the rough path as my eagle eye vision dimmed in the low light.

“This is damned annoying,” I muttered, squinting. “Why does my eyesight get worse right at my birthday? You have a sick sense of humor,” I added with a quick glare heavenward. My foot caught on a fallen eucalyptus branch. I caught my balance. “Not funny!” I snapped. “Who am I talking to? This is why people think I’m crazy. Well, so what if I talk to myself? Better I talk to myself than to a bush! That would be crazy! Good grief. I do talk to bushes. I have to make an appointment with the eye doctor.”

I finally reached the wide main trail that ran along a fence bordering the city cemetery. The lights of my family’s home glowed less than a quarter of a mile ahead. I strode quickly, more concerned about running into a skunk than a mountain lion. Get attacked by a mountain lion and people are nice to you, if you aren’t killed, but get skunked and you become a lonely laughed-at island in a sea of humanity.

Suddenly a ghostly white barn owl swept silently passed toward a grove of eucalyptus trees. It vanished into the grove. Seconds later, I heard the loud crack of a branch followed by a shrill raspy cry.

“That is not a rabbit,” I thought as I made my way into the shadowy grove still warm from the heat of the day.

I spotted the barn owl’s pale shape on the ground. I focused on it by looking just to the right of the bird as I approached. The owl repeated its cry as it struggled to lift off the ground, its right wing apparently broken.

“So much for your legendary eyesight. Humiliating, isn’t it?”

I removed my windbreaker. The owl grew still as I wrapped it in the jacket. It never tried to bite me. I lifted the large bird, astonished by how light it was. I carried the owl home.

“Someone get the dog travel crate thing!” I called as I carried the bird inside. “I have to take an owl to the vet!”

“You do not,” scoffed my younger brother Michael from the living room.

“Either you get the crate or I’ll have this owl puke mouse bones on your bed.”

The owl released a piercing screech. Michael ran into the foyer, followed by my younger sister Marianne. The owl’s fierce yellow eyes glared as the bird hissed.

“Get the crate!” said Marianne as she pushed our brother out of the foyer. “What’s wrong with it, Jenny?”

“It flew into a tree and busted a wing.”

In my mind’s eye, I could see the broken bone in the wing. I thought nothing of it at the time. My right arm ached horribly. Without thinking, I kept my right hand on the bird’s head. I sensed not fear from the owl, but anger at its situation.

“You should be angry with yourself,” I said to it. “You should be able to fly through a forest at night without touching…”

I fell silent as my vision blurred dramatically. It had become a problem in low light, but the foyer’s bright light was on. I lifted my hand from the owl’s head. My vision cleared. I placed my hand back onto its head. Again, my vision blurred.

“I found the crate!” Michael carried a plastic dog crate into the foyer. He set it on the floor. “Why doesn’t the owl try to bite you?”

“I’m not annoying. Hold the crate door open.”

I set the owl gently inside the crate and then closed and latched the door.

My brother drove us to a nearby veterinarian’s office. I carried the crate into the reception area that smelled faintly of dogs and ammonia cleaner.

“Oh, is this the poor little owl?” the receptionist cooed at the hissing bird. “He’s not so little. Bring him this way.”

I carried the crate into an examination room. I opened the crate and then gingerly worked the owl out onto the metal table. It flapped its good left wing with surprising power twice before calming down. Its right wing hung uselessly.

The veterinarian entered the room. “You’re a handsome boy, aren’t you?” he said to the bird. “Where did you find him?” He began a careful exam of the wing.

“He flew into a tree in the woods near my home.”

“An owl flew into a tree?” he said doubtfully.

“He’s losing his eyesight,” I replied, hating myself as I said it.
The vet glanced at me strangely before he shined a small light into the owl’s round eyes. The bird never moved.

“Oh, boy,” he said quietly.

“Can it be cured?” I kept my gaze on the owl’s white feathered head rimmed with brown.

“No. He has lost the sight in his left eye. His right eye appears to be going the same route. A blind owl doesn’t stand a chance at survival. It wouldn’t even be able to fly.”

The owl chirped repeatedly. I swallowed hard.

“Can I have him back afterward?” I asked as tears burned my eyes. “I want to return him to his woods.”

I kept my hand on the owl’s soft head while the vet put it to sleep.

“I’m sorry,” I whispered as the wild light in the bird’s great golden eyes faded, like the flame of a candle blown out.

I buried the owl in the woods that night while moonlight chased away the shadows across the forest floor.

Hello world!

Being a freelance writer demands that I read anything and everything. While doing so, I have come across a lot of negativity toward people with abilities lumped under the word ‘psychic’. Society is suspicious of psychics because of the many scam artists that claim to be psychics, as well as our silly media image (Yes, I am psychic). People start yelling, “There is no scientific evidence that proves psychic abilities are real!”

I have never seen a photo of an atom or a photon, and yet the science community believes in their existence, as do I.

I suspect the fear people have of their secrets and inner selves being found out causes people to feel, oh, dare I say, threatened by a person with psychic abilities. As a result, many known psychics are mocked or avoided, even by family members.

Light workers, people who practice energy medicine to help heal other people or animals, is another group often frowned upon by society. How can anyone heal another person by touch? And what is this energy these weirdos claim they can channel through their hands?

No one actually heals anyone. Reiki energy, the same energy that flows around and through everything in the universe, strengthens the body’s natural healing system and helps the person being healed to let go of stress and often emotional wounds. Find a qualified Reiki practitioner and experience a relaxing healing session. You will thank me later.

This blog is going to address all things psychic (I really hate that label) as well as Reiki and other alternative healing methods. I will also relate personal experiences I have had to provide insight into my seemingly mysterious, spiritual, and sometimes funky world.

Psychics, light workers, and the work we do are nothing to fear. We work with quiet patience as we try our best to help others in need of a more penetrating view into life.

Welcome to Animal Earth Reiki. Prepare to be amazed.
